Moroka Swallows and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting line-ups for the DStv Premiership clash at Dobsonville Stadium this evening.
Struggling Swallows will welcome high-flying Sundowns this evening in one of Downs’ three catch-up games.
The Dube Birds will look to bounce back after failing to win a match in their last two, drawing with Orlando Pirates before losing to Richards Bay.
Maswaiswai are sitting 14th on the league table with 25 points after 23 matches, but have an eight-points buffer to the relegation/promotion play-offs spot.
Sundowns will play their sixth game in the space of 16 days, as they continue to push for a quadruple.
The defending DStv Premiership champions have been active in three different competitions in those 16 days, reaching the CAF Champions League and Nedbank Cup semi-finals and extending their lead in the DStv Premiership.
Rulani Mokwena’s side have a chance to extend their gap on top to a massive 16 points, meaning they would need just nine more points to clinch their seventh successive title.
These two sides faced each other 35 times, with Sundowns winning 18, Swallows seven and 10 matches ending in draws.
It’s easy to forget but Masandawana are still unbeaten in the DStv Premiership since Rulani Mokwena became the sole head coach, winning 30 of his 40 games in charge.
Here is how they line up:
Swallows XI: Akpeyi, Mphahlele, Nqgonga, Mngonyama, Nyauza, Sanou, Phalane, Everson, Mahlonoko, Mtshali, Mhango
