Bafana Bafana have announced their starting line-up for this evening’s clash against Algeria at Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
Hugo Broos’ side will finish their FIFA Series against the Desert Foxes of Algeria after playing to a disappointing draw against one of the lowest ranked nations in Europe, Andorra in their opening match of the series in Annab, Algeria.
South Africa will hope to continue their positive trend after finishing third in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that was hosted in Ivory Coast, while, Algeria got knocked out in the group stages for a second consecutive time.
The poor performance of Algeria led them sacking to their coach Djamel Belmadi and Vladimir Petkovic has since taken over. The Swiss coach was in charge of their encounter against Bolivia which they won 3-2 in dramatic fashion.
These two sides will be battling against each other for the fifth time, with each winning once and two matches ending in draws.
