Bafana Bafana and Al Ahly attacker Percy Tau has been crowned the best African-based player at the CAF awards ceremony on Monday.
Tau was instrumental in Al Ahly’s CAF Champions League win last season with his crucial goals and assists.
The left-footer netted 10 goals and provided seven assists as Al Ahly won the CAF Champions League, the Egyptian Premier League and the Super Cup titles.
And this was an impressive feat for Tau given the tough time he had when he first joined Al Ahly and again when Marcel Koller came in.
