Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak dream about hiring Pitso Mosimane but also admit they can currently not afford the South Africa tactician.
Board member, Vincent Odotei Sowah admitted the club would love to bring Mosimane but to Ghana, but budget limitations are just one of the issues for the club.
The 21-time Ghana Premier League champions, who the CAF Champions League in 2000, have been struggling this season, which led to the departure of Dutchman Martin Koopman, under whom they won just two of their 10 league games (drawing six and losing two).
Sowah admitted that the club are aiming high but fans also need to remain patient as budget limitations don’t let them get to coaches like Mosimane, who has won 19 trophies throughout his managerial career.
“Those of us in charge of Hearts of Oak now, we want to bring someone like Pitso Mosimane,” he told Asempa FM, as per Ghanaweb.
“Can we afford him? Do you know how much he was being at Al Ahly?
“The point I am trying to make is that, when appointing a coach, a lot of considerations come into play.
“If the fans are patient with us a bit, we believe we will get to a stage where we can attract world-class coaches.”
