PATRICK THWALA AT ORLANDO PIRATES
For those of you that need a background, Thwala was quite a dazzling nippy, and fast left-winger. You can say he was in the mold of Aubrey Ngoma when he was at his best at Pirates and Cape Town City.
Thwala, who is one of those special players who played for Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Pirates, spent just one season as a Sea Robber before leaving for Golden Arrows in 2004.
THWALA CLAIMS BUCS PAY PEANUTS
Speaking during a reflective interview on his career this week, the retired 40-year-old, who was born in Kempton Park before growing up in Katlehong, simply stated that Pirates generally offer poor salaries and singing-on-fees.
“iPirates mara ayibadala man, yaz iPirates ayibadali…” Thwala said via TK Solutions TV.
“Bazok’tshel’ ukuth’ udlalel’ ibadge, ya, bath’ udlalel’ ibadge.
“…Bakutshela nge history mara ufun’ imali wena. Bathi boy awukenz’ niks, ngaw’ qale usebenze kuqala,” Thwala added.
