Former league winner with Bidvest Wits midfielder Phumlani Ntshangase is a free agent after leaving Baroka.
The South Africa international was part of Gavin Hunt’s Wits team that historically won the league in the 2016/17 season. After the sale of the club, he joined Maritzburg United.
And things didn’t quite work out to plan after being lured to the club by then-head coach Eric Tinkler as injuries curtailed his progress before eventually leaving the club for Baroka.
The project to try and lead the club back into the top flight appeared as the perfect stepping stone to revive his career, but things haven’t gone to plan.
iDiski Times understands that the 28-year-old has now parted ways with the club and is a free agent – ready for the next move of his career.
He racked up 166 appearances in the top-flight for Wits, SuperSport United and the Team of Choice over seven seasons.
