Cape Town City defender Keanu Cupido remains focussed on the job at hand despite his latest Bafana Bafana snub.
The 26-year-old has played all of City’s league matches this season, helping the club to keep eight clean sheets and providing two assists, winning a few Man Of The Match awards along the way.
But despite the fine performances of the Cape Town-born defender, he is yet to receive a Bafana Bafana call-up from Hugo Broos.
Cupido explained that he is happy that at City there’s a coach that believes in him and he will continue working for himself and his family.
“All honesty I’m not doing this for the coach I’m doing this for myself, for my family at home,” Cupido told the media
“Whatever happens in the national team is up to the coach, I have a coach at Cape Town City that believes in me, so that all I need at the moment.”
Cupido will have another chance to showcase his form when City host Kaizer Chiefs at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
