Eswatini has submitted an application to retain four cellphones that were found in the possession of siblings accused of the murder of South African rapper, AKA.
The principal crown counsel, Macebo Nxumalo, informed the court in Eswatini that the cellphones were recovered during the arrest of the brothers, Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande (Nxele) and Malusi Dave Ndimande (Mjay).

The siblings, who are from Durban, were apprehended by the Royal Eswatini Police Service at their rented flat in Mbabane’s Zone 4.
In response to the application, the duo’s lawyer, Sivesenkhosi Ngwenya, requested more time to review the application before the court issued an order.
Ngwenya expressed concerns about his clients’ security and requested guarantees for their safety during the extradition process. The South African national director of public prosecutions had not yet filed the application for the extradition of the Ndimande brothers, but Nxumalo assured the court that it would be submitted soon.
During the proceedings, Nxumalo also requested the withdrawal of the provisional arrest request for Lindokuhle Ndimande, the third accused person on the charge sheet. Nxumalo informed the court that Lindokuhle had been arrested in South Africa after the initial appearance. The court granted the order for withdrawal.
Armed officers from the correctional services were present in court during the hearing. The case has been postponed to March 12 for further proceedings.
