According to CEO Elon Musk, Twitter Blue subscribers will receive a cut of revenue from ads that appear in their reply threads.
Musk stated that the new programme begins today, but he has not yet provided additional details about how it works.

The Twitter Blue support page is also devoid of information. Twitter no longer has a public relations department that can be contacted for comment.
Blue subscribers in some territories already see half as many ads as other users on their timeline.
Offering a cut of ad revenue could help Twitter retain users, especially if it offers a reasonable split that could earn them some good money for a viral tweet.
Many other platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Instagram, and Facebook, already give creators a cut of ad revenue.

The company is attempting to improve its bottom line in order to meet interest payments of more than $1 billion per year on loans Musk took out to purchase the company.
Finding new ways to increase engagement (and thus revenue) is critical.
So offering a revenue share to users, particularly those with large audiences, to encourage them to subscribe to Blue and tweet more frequently is a logical next step.

Twitter is also said to be developing another tipping feature that will use in-app currency.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Twitter charges businesses $1,000 per month to have a gold checkmark. It appears that verification for affiliated accounts costs $50 per month.
