Durban man shot 3 times to go under surgery



A Phoenix man shot 3 times yesterday outside Bridge City Petrol station in Inanda by wanted man will go under surgery. The shot man named Mthokozisi Khoza shot on Monday while off duty.

Clive Sokhela as Mthokozisi’s friend, said that they went to the the garage Mthokozisi work to buy food. Clive says the man came to them and bumped on them intentionally at the time when they were at the car going.

Sokhela says the guy said few words and they asked for apology to the man and asked him to leave them alone for then. The armed man after few seconds he took him gun out and began to shoot them.



Sokhela said the armed man pointed the gun on him but he took cover and crawled in near by power box. He saw a police van passing by and alerted them.

Mthokozisi is shot fews times in different parts of the body and rushed to the hospital. He is scheduled to go under surgery to remove the bullet in his abdomen.

Private security company Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram alleged that the gun man, Mthokozisi and Clive began to urging over a parking.



After gunman shot Mthokozisi, he sped off in a Ford Bantam bakkie while Mthokozisi was rushed to a private hospital. Clive said he wasn’t sure what the argument was about and didn’t see gunman getting into the car.

“I doubt it was over a parking dispute. Mthokozisi’s family are still in shock and praying for him to regain his health,” Clive said.

A case of attempted murder is been open, Mthokozisi is been shot on his arm, thigh and abdomen Police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala confirmed. Ntuzuma South African Police Service is investigating the case.
