Severe weather alerts
A. Yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms with possible strong damaging winds, hail and heavy downpours resulting in localised damage to infrastructure, settlements (informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock in places in the Free State, western parts of KwaZulu-Natal, southern parts of Gauteng and Mpumalanga as well as the northern parts of Eastern Cape.
FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:
A. Extremely high fire danger conditions is expected in the northern and central parts of the Northern Cape, as well as the central parts of the Western Cape.
A. Extremely uncomfortable conditions are expected in places over the Central and Little Karoo.

Conditions and UVB forecast
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered in the south where it will be cool
The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
Temperature: Cloudy and cool to warm, but hot in the Lowveld. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected.
Temperature: Morning fog and drizzle along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the extreme north-west.
Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the extreme west.
Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot but cool in places in the east. Scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers are expected, but isolated in the extreme west.
Temperature: Morning fog patches along the coast, otherwise fine, windy and hot to very hot but partly cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate south- westerly.
Temperature: Morning fog patches along the south coast and adjacent interior, otherwise fine and warm to hot but very hot over the Karoo. It will be partly cloudy along the west coast and north-eastern parts.
Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong east to south-westerly.

The Western half: Partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in places in the north and east, but warm along the coast
The Western half – The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, but strong east of Algoa bay in the afternoon.
The Eastern half: Cloudy and warm to hot with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated along the coast and adjacent interior.
The Eastern half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly.
Temperature: Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm. Scattered showers and thundershowers are expected
Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly
