Aris Limassol striker Mihlali Mayambela continues to shine in Cyprus after netting his seventh goal of the season against arch-rivals AEL Limassol.
The Bafana Bafana international made his 11th league appearance of the season when he faced AEL for the third time since arriving in Cyprus.
The 27-year-old seems to enjoy playing Limassol derbies. He has scored three goals in both against AEL Limassol and Apollon Limassol which are local derbies.
Last night he scored his seventh goal of the season when Aris beat AEL 4-0 away from home and returned to the top of the summit. They level on points with APOEL and Pafos FC after 13 games.
Despite being knocked out of the UEFA Europa League, Mayambela is expected to lead the side to the UEFA Conference League when they face Sparta Praha in a crucial must win fixture next week Thursday.
The former Farense striker has been instrumental both for club and country, and with African Cup Of Nations nearby he is fighting to make the cut to Ivory Coast.
