Former Bafana Bafana Cape Town City midfielder Ayanda Patosi has resurfaced at newly-promoted Cape Town Spurs side.
Patosi has been without a club since January after his contract with Iranian side Foolad Football Club was not renewed. After spending only one season at Foolad, he won two major trophies with the club, the Iranian cup and Iranian Super Cup.
iDiski Times spotted Patosi at the Spurs training ground as the club returned to training for the first time since their loss against Richards Bay on Sunday.
The publication understands that there’s no talks with Pato joining Spurs at this point, he is training with the club to get back to fitness.
‘Deco’ as he is famously known has worked with Spurs assistant coach Vasili Manousakis who is during their time at City, and asked to train with the club.
The former FC Baniyas player’s condition is far from ready and will need to work more on himself to get back into the game. The estimated time to return to football could be February or later.
There were rumours that he had a deal of joining unnamed Libyan side, but the move collapsed on the last day.
