Actress Sivenathi Mabuya, known for her roles in Housewives and Scandal!, reveals that her dream of becoming an actress became a reality when she met the late Shona Ferguson.
In an interview, Mabuya talks about her journey of pursuing her dreams and making them a reality. She completed matric in 2010 and left her hometown for Johannesburg, where she worked as an assistant at a media monitoring company.
She then participated in a MAQamovie competition for amateur actors and emerged as the winner, ultimately leading her into the entertainment industry. Mabuya credits her inspiration to the presenters on YoTV, as she aspired to be like them.
She reveals that Shona Ferguson, who was one of the judges for the competition, offered her a role in the show iGazi. Although she didn’t land a role in iGazi, Mabuya went on to star in various local films and eventually secured the role of Xolie Langa in the popular soapie Scandal! on e.tv.
After exiting Scandal!, Mabuya joined the cast of Housewives, leaving behind a legacy that was adored by many Scandal! fans.
