Entrepreneur and socialite Shauwn Mkhize is making a comeback to our TV screens with the upcoming second season of Kwa Mam’Mkhize. The new season, scheduled to premiere on Showmax as an original series on 14 December, will present new episodes every Tuesday.
In the first season, viewers followed Shauwn as she reclaimed her maiden name and navigated life as a Mkhize. The show was a huge success on Mzansi Magic and received the Best Reality Show award at the Hollywood & African Prestigious Awards.
Shauwn told The Citizen that she wanted to share her story in her own way, as there were many media-driven portrayals of who she is and her life. She also shared insight into the filming of the first season of Kwa Mam’Mkhize and how it affected her and her family. Season one was a learning experience, but it humbled them and they were surprised by the love, adoration, and admiration they received. The family was well-received by the public, and their journey wouldn’t have been possible without the love from viewers and fans.
In the second season, viewers will get to see the extended family of Mam’Mkhize, as Shauwn is now a grandmother and there have been additions to the family tree. The family has grown, but viewers will have to tune in to the show to learn more.
Shauwn also discussed how she manages the challenges of filming the show while balancing her personal and professional responsibilities.
