Elton Jantjies’ estranged wife, Iva Ristic, has reacted to news of his alleged split on bad terms from girlfriend Ashleigh Ogle.
This, following Ashleigh’s claims that she “endured what no woman deserves” during her three-month relationship with the controversial former Springbok star.
According to Ashley, she ended her relationship with the player, who is still legally married to Iva, the mother of his three children.
Elton made headlines a year ago after he confessed to having a lengthy affair with Springbok dietician Zeenat Simjee, who denied the tryst.
ELTON JANTJIES’S WIFE SPEAKS OUT
Speaking to The South African, Iva Ristic shared her perspective on Elton and Ashleigh’s split.
She said: “I have spoken to her only once, when she decided to move into our house, just to let her know that we were still legally married. I also warned her about certain issues she might deal with.”
Iva continued: “She obviously didn’t take my advice and was pretty much oblivious about who she is wanting to have babies with.”
Reacting to their split, Iva added: “I don’t understand the urge of announcing a break up of such a short period of time. Nor I will understand the need of putting their private issues out there for the world to laugh at. Especially because she has a young daughter and we have three little boys who will surely read about this circus one day.
“I wish them both all the best. I really hope they can privately deal with the rest of their struggles.”
DIVORCE PAPERS STILL NOT SIGNED
In September, Iva told The South African that she was still legally married to Elton, whom she claimed had “refused” to sign their divorce papers. The model and DJ added that Elton had also given her the impression that he still wanted to work on their marriage.
She said at the time: “He asked me to be patient as he is still emotionally not ready to let me go, and he is not ready to make that step. The issue is that it’s been a year since I requested a divorce. He is still unwilling to sign the paperwork”.
