Orlando Pirates emerged victorious against fierce rivals Kaizer Chiefs in their recent DStv Premiership Soweto derby. The match took place on Saturday, 11 November at the packed FNB Stadium, with the Buccaneers securing a 1-0 win.
Evidence Makgopa scored the only goal of the match in the 20th minute. Orlando Pirates now sit in seventh place in the standings with 15 points from 10 matches, while Kaizer Chiefs have slipped to eighth place with 14 points from 12 games.
Orlando Pirates’ next league match will see them play against struggling Richards Bay on Saturday, 25 November at 15:30. On the other hand, Kaizer Chiefs will aim to bounce back in their next fixture against Swallows on Sunday, 26 November at 15:30.
