Advocate Thulani Mngomezulu has reversed his decision not to challenge the Automatic Vehicle Locating (AVL) report and is now preparing to argue it in the ongoing trial within the murder trial of Orlando Pirates star Senzo Meyiwa.
Arguments on a report of a tracking device on the car that transported accused number two, Bongani Ntanzi to make a confession, were supposed to be heard on Friday.Â
Heads of argumentÂ
However, Mngomezulu initially stated that filing the heads of arguments was unnecessary on Thursday and later informed advocate Sipho Ramosepele that he would be preparing the heads and would be ready to argue on Monday.
Defence accused of dilly-dallyingÂ
Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng expressed exasperation at the defence, stating that they were not taking the case seriously, and also noted that Mngomezulu was ill and not present in court.
He then postponed the trial to Monday as a result. Â
