Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are back at the summit of the Hollywoodbets Super League log after their 1-0 win against the University of Western Cape (UWC) in a top-of-the-table clash away at UWC this past weekend.
Refilwe Tholakele scored the only goal in the first half as the defending champions swapped places with their rivals though they are both equal on 66 points after 25 matches.
This was the first match in five outings where the former African champions were reduced to scoring a solitary goal after scoring 29 goals before this encounter.
They started with a 6-0 win over City Lads, then followed with the same score-line against Durban Ladies, they went on to win 6-1 against JVW FC and showed no mercy against Coal City Wizards when they thrashed them 11-0.
Elsewhere Nompumelelo Nyandeni, Nicole Michael and Mamello Makhabane were on the score sheet as TS Galaxy Queens defeated Durban Ladies 3-2 at the Princess Magogo stadium to remain in fourth position on the table with 51 points.
The Rockets are now two points from JVW in third place with both sides having played 25 games.
