Just days after following the Twitter account of England Rugby, Springboks boss Rassie Erasmus has clicked unfollow following their defeat of the Northern Hemisphere rivals.
On Saturday, 21 October, South Africa beat England 16-15 in a nail-biting Rugby World Cup semi-final showdown.
The Boks will now focus their attention on New Zealand’s All Blacks, who they will play on Saturday, 28 October at the Stade De France.
RASSIE UNFOLLOWS ENGLAND ON TWITTER
Just hours after Springboks clinched a one-point victory against England, Rassie Erasmus revealed his troll-worthy move – unfollowing their Twitter account.
“Rassie already unfollowed England”, pointed out one X user.
“Uncle Ras is savage”, commented another.
The SA Rugby Director has made it a habit to follow the social media posts of his rivals, and quickly discard them after moving on.
NEW ZEALAND NEXT?
With Springboks taking on the All Blacks in a final next weekend, all eyes are on Rassie Erasmus’s next Twitter move.
Ahead of the game, a former New Zealand rugby player has praised the Boks boss for being a “genius” when it comes to the sport.
During a television interview ahead of the SA vs France game, former New Zealand flyhalf Stephen Donald praised both the national team and the Springboks boss.
He said: “You and I both know South Africans – if there’s one group of individuals that are going to rock into a place and have 80,000 people against them and they won’t even know it, it’s the Springboks. They are a special breed in how focused they are and how single-minded they are.”
“And we joke about Rassie Erasmus, but he’s a genius. He’s just genius.”
