Gqom queen Babes WODUMO’S legion of fans have expressed concern after she broke down during an Instagram Live video.
BABES WODUMO BREAKS DOWN
The Wololo hitmaker could not hold back her tears when her late husband Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo’s song Ngeke came on. The Big Nuz member tragically passed away in December 2022 after suffering a stroke.
In the Instagram Live video, Babes is with her sister and manager Nonfumiso Simelane and another man in what looks like a studio. As Babes’ tears roll down her cheeks, she is consoled by her sister who kisses her several times on the cheek.
‘UTHANDO LODUMO’
Last month, Babes shared that her reality TV show, Uthando Lodumo, is set to return for a third season soon.
The Shut Up and Groove hitmaker told Zimoja that life has been difficult without her husband but the show must go on.
“It feels great to be getting back into the swing of things again. I had my time to grieve properly, so I’m just so excited.
“It’s been different without my Mampintsha. I had to learn to make decisions on my own. Before I used to make decisions with Mampintsha, so I’m doing everything on my own with the help of my team, but all is well,” she said.
Babes said fans of Uthando Lodumo should expect more drama.
“A lot about how my life has been after the passing of my husband, my struggles and challenges of being a single mom having to wear my queen crown with pride and finding my feet.”
