With Mamelodi Sundowns’ African Football League journey set to start on Saturday, the SABC have confirmed that the public broadcaster will cover the tournament.
African football such as CAF Champions League and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers have become a rarity on South African TV screens, with fans often having to look for streams to watch their favourite teams and follow the competitions.
SABC have confirmed that the public broadcaster will cover the entire tournament, not just Sundowns’ games.
The matches will be live on SABC Sport on DTT channel 4, as well as on SABC’s streaming app SABC+ and SABCSPORT.com.

The tournament kicks off on Friday when CAF Champions League winners Al Ahly face Tanzanian giants Simba SC at 17:00.
Sundowns are in action on Saturday, when their tricky away clash at Petro de Luanda kicks off at 17:30.
Meanwhile, TP Mazembe face Esperance Tunis at 17:00 on Sunday and the quarter-final first legs will be completed when Enyimba host Wydad AC at 20:00 on the same day.
The quarter-final second legs take place on 24 and 25 October, with Downs hosting Petro at 19:00 on Tuesday.
World football governing body FIFA have also confirmed that they will broadcast all AFL games live on their FIFA+ platform.
