SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership encounter at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Matsatsantsa return to the DStv Premiership for the first time since their surprise 3-0 defeat to Lamontville Golden Arrows before the international break.
Gavin Hunt’s side will look to keep their title chase alive this evening when they face Amakhosi but will need to keep all three points to fall further off the pace.
SuperSport recently returned from Botswana where they drew 1-1 with Gaborone United in their CAF Confederations Cup second preliminary round first leg.
On the other side, Chiefs who recently played to a goalless draw against Royal AM on Saturday, will look to get maximum points this evening to keep their league title hopes alive.
“Three points is everything, because winning and getting maximum points will also put us in a good place to compete in the league,” head coach Molefi Ntseki told the club’s media team.
“As Kaizer Chiefs, we are only playing to win the league, we are not playing to just be in the league.
“The players and everybody in the technical team are fully aware the game against SuperSport United is a very important game, one we have to play to finish, win that game, and then prepare for Sundowns.”
Amakhosi are sitting seventh on the log but are already 10 points behind table toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Ephefeni Glamour Boys started the season lukewarm but managed to get back-to-back wins against AmaZulu FC and Stellenbosch FC before their draw with Thwihli Thwahla.
Out of the last seven league clashes, SuperSport have won four to Chiefs’ two and they are unbeaten at home against Amakhosi in 2015.
