Though threatened, Rasta went to King Goodwill’s funeral with his paints

Lebani Sirenje who is best known as Rasta The Artist went to KwaZulu-Natal at King Goodwill Zwelithini’s home where his burial will be held to deliver his paintings in honour.


King Goodwill Zwelithini died last week Friday at the age of 72 years. The king has been hospitalized days before his passing and receiving medical care for high glucose levels.



It is with the utmost grief that i inform the nation of the passing of his Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini ka Bhekuzulu, king of the Zulu nation, statement given by Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi on Friday last week.

Looking at social media, a guy who is best known as Rasta The Artist, famous for painting celebrities and government people. He painted the Amazulu king and went to his funeral at Kwakhethomthandayo Royal Palace in KwaZulu-Natal.




Rasta in a video that is very much circulating now on social media, he impressed people with his painting of King Goodwill Zwelithini. People talk about he nailed it this time, he went all out and improved his skills.

In the video Rasta talks about he was threatened before he could leave his place to go to KwaZulu-Natal. He was not specific about the threats he received, he says he went to KZN as far as it is what he loves.

Meanwhile Eskom suspended loadshedding so that the ceremony of King Goodwill Zwelithini can be held without distractions.
