2020 has been a tough year indeed, 2021 is now starting with the wrong foot again. Today mzansi pays tribute to one of the legendary actor in the country. Not so long ago mzansi lost Lindiwe Ndlovu, today is Papa Sam Phillips.
The death of the legend is conformed on Connie Ferguson’s Instagram page in the early hours of Saturday 16 January 2021. Connie is really touch of his passing as they have been around almost in the old times when the industry of TV entertainment emerged.

The veteran died 72 years old and many people are touched with his passing because he contributed a lot in the indurty back in the 80s. He is the first person to make an appearance on SABC1 IN 1980 and his career as an artist spanned for more than 40 years.
His contribution to the industry and the country was helping to educate people with HIV/AIDS in the TV soapie Soul City and another TV drama series Phamokate on SABC2.

RIP: Sam Phillips
Veteran stage and screen actor Sam Phillips has reportedly passed away.
Mr Phillips was also an accomplished music composer.
He can currently be seen, as Samuel, on Kings Of Joburg on Netflix
